The Joe of the Week is Chuckles V1. This is one of my favorite G.I. Joe characters in the entire line. Not so much for his look, but because of his story in the comic series G.I. Joe Cobra. The comic series is one of my all time favorite comic store arcs in any comic line not just G.I. Joe. I had read the comic series when it first came out, this was several years before I started collecting the toys. Once I got into the toys I knew that Chuckles would be high on my list of needed figures.
This figures was completed from parts out of a couple of lots, including the Big Joe Haul 2018. he is in decent shape, there is a little paint wear, but is color is bright.
I never owned Chuckles as a kid, probably because he did not come with lots of accessories and he had a Hawaiian shirt on. As an adult I kind of like the idea of Joe that looks a bit like a CIA operative. If you can get past his flashy shirt he is a well designed figure.
One thing that has always bothered me about chuckles happened during G.I. Joe the move. During his testing with Beachhead the missile on the H.A.V.O.C. would not fire. So he exited the vehicle and pulled off the missile then ran with it and tossed it at the H.I.S.S.. Come on really? Just over the top ridiculousness. Then latter he got on top of the helicopter to kick start the engine and stayed up to fight Cobra La. they made him out to be just a little bit much in my mind.
