The Joe of the Week is Psyche-Out v1. He was released at part of wave 6 in 1987. This figure was completed from Ebay auction and the Big Joe Haul 2018. He is in good condition except for his bent antenna. I never owned this figure as a kid.
This is one of those examples of a nicely executed idea and design. Psyche-Out is a soft skill solders that fills in an interesting roll in the Joe organization. He is a psychological operation specialist. He comes armed with an array of gear to “wave induce behavior modification”. sounds like he may be going against the Geneva Convention. And I am also glad he came with a pistol, if the waves don’t work a bullet will.
He has a nice design is uniform looks militaristic enough while still keeping that futuristic edge. I would have liked to seen a darker colored “gambeson“. His Night Force version has a superior color scheme in my opinion.
